4th Annual AIDS Orphans Serengeti Safari

Abundant Life Summit

Abundant Life Summit - Mount Meru, January 2006

In January 2006, GRA directors, Lyn Hebenstreit and Tara Blasco, and volunteers Maggie and Maleina Rauen will join leaders of several Tanzania NGOs in a climb to the summit of Mount Meru (a 15,000 foot mountain close to Mount Kilimanjaro). This is our second annual summit fundraiser. Last January, climbers made the grueling trek to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro and raised over $58,000 to support programs that benefit the communities of the Lake Victoria Region of Tanzania.

The goal of the fundraiser is to raise money to expand GRA funded programs in Tanzania aimed to help communities overcome poverty and live a life more abundant. The funds will be specifically used for projects that promote alternative healthcare, organic gardening, sanitation, clean water, education, technology, microfinance and assist in the care of AIDS orphans and people living with AIDS.
